Abstract:

Attention to main goals of climate design in each meteorological region and anticipation some items to better achieving these goals causes to remaining, stability and coordination of buildings with climate conditions and saving energy consume and reaching to identity of architecture in every climate. This research reports extent of conformity of architecture plan of Isfahan city with indexes of architecture in this city. First of all, climate elements including radiation, temperature, wind, humidity,… were taken into consideration and relevant diagrams to extent of temperature and raining of the city determined and finally with depicting climagram of the city according to determined climate indexes, we defined type region climate. Then with use of “Mahouni” tables and diagram of Isfahan comfort zone with regard to climate diagrams, conditional architecture indexes with climate of Isfahan such as suitable direction of building in relation with climate (like sun radiation, wind direction), windows dimensions, study of rest places and determination of depth and suitable size were decided. In next stage with use of achieved data by construction details and site of schools plan, we want to consider extent of coordination of new constructed schools of Isfahan with achieved standards.According to finding, schools under study have conformity with method of allocation with regarding to climate standards of the city and major windows in north-south side and for ventilation in most schools were suitable. Majority of schools in relation with rest side with suitable depth and angle have no necessary conformity with Isfahan climate conditions and extent of application green coverage in adjustment of local conditions and courtyard have no conformity with climate conditions in Isfahan.

Abstract:

Weather is one of the most important factors affecting on human being’s life aspects, especially in health and comfort. If the man-made buildings are compatible with weather condition, they not only provide his/her comfort but also decrease the energy consumption. In this study, in order to evaluate the climate and architecture of Khorramabad city, a veriaty of obtained information including temperature, precipitation, wind, relative humidity, effective architecture indices, Olgi, Mahoney and Gioony have been employed. The results show that the thermal comfort in nights is not at ideal zone while is at comfort zone in most of the days of months. Moreover, the months of October, January, February, March and November are out of comfort zone, cold is predominant in these months and using heating systems are needed. In contrast to aforementioned months; July, August and September are in comfort zone. Of note, the weather of June, July, August and September is hot, lacking of comfort in days and using chillers and ventilators are required. In order to depict of thermal comfort of each indices, comparative table has been used for simplicity.

Abstract:

Odontobuthus scorpion belongs to Buthidae family and is extensively distributed in south proviences or Iran. in this research we studied the amount of sodium (Na), potassium (K), calcium (ca) and copper (cu) electrolytes in haemlymph in different thermal ranges. The estimated amount of each electrolyte was 280.41, 6.85, 10.82 and 31.82 mEq/L respectively. statistical analysis considering environment temperature and sexes of scorpions showed that the changes in temperature has a significant effect (p<0.001) on electrolyte content of haemolymph. While sexuality has no effect on electrolyte content. The scorpion fights we increased environment temperature with increase of haemolymph osotic pressure and in this case the most important electrolytes are sodium and potassium, which have a greater shares in this adjustment. Lethal temperature and water loss rates of scorpions indicate that these arthropods are quite tolerant to hot dry desert conditions.

Abstract:

Measurement of pressure profiles at limited number of synoptic stations are performed by the Radiosondes on a routine basis where this usually do not meet the need for numerical weather forecasting and there is need for more input data. Producing pressure values at different geopotential heights in the atmosphere is very important especially in the study of atmospheric circulation and weather forecasting. The data used in this research are: Radiosonde data, MODIS satellite images and surface pressure collected at synoptic stations. The method used is based on the hydrostatic hypothesis that is based on the assumption of small vertical movements in the air. The pressure profile is extracted from hydrostatic equation. This research consists of two parts, in the first part hydrostatic model has been evaluated for the stability index based on Radiosonde data, In the second part, pressure profile was calculated at different geopotential height using MODIS products of temperautre, moisture profiles and MODIS surface pressure. The average RMSE between Radiosonde measured profiles and MODIS data was 0.4 and 1 milibar, respectively. The results calculated through Hydrostatic models have a logical conformity with the one from the radiosonde measurements in both stable and unstable atmospheric conditions. The results show that by having surface pressure and temperature and moisture profile, one can calculate atmospheric pressure precisely in different altitudes using Hydrostatic model. The amount of uncertainties of the results of this method has been evaluated and is presented a seperate table.

Abstract:

IN THIS WORK, FE3O4 NANOPARTICLES WERE FUNCTIONALIZED WITH HYPERBRANCHED POLYETHYLENIMINE (PEI). THE NEAT FE3O4 NANOPARTICLES (MNP) AND FUNCTIONALIZED FE3O4 (MNP@PEI) WERE SEPARATELY INCORPORATED INTO A POLYLACTIC ACID (PLA). EFFECTS OF THE FUNCTIONALIZATION OF FE3O4 ON THE THERMAL AND FLAME RESISTANCE PROPERTIES OF THE DEVELOPED PLA NANOCOMPOSITES WERE INVESTIGATED. IT IS FOUND THAT THE PROPERTIES OF THE PLA NANOCOMPOSITES WERE STRONGLY UNDER INFLUENCE OF THE MODIFICATION OF THE MNP. ADDITIONAL PEI WITHIN MNP@PEI WOULD MAKE MORE INTERACTION WITH THE PLA MATRIX CHAINS AND CAUSED BETTER THERMAL AND FLAME RESISTANCE PROPERTIES. THE HEAT BARRIER EFFECT AND HIGH NITROGEN CONTENT OF THE MNP@PEI NANOPARTICLES WERE FOUND TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE THERMAL AND FLAME RESISTANCE PROPERTIES.

Abstract:

Introduction: The modified Gloucester comfort scale (GCS), although not formally validated, is routinely used as a quality assurance measure to assess patient discomfort during colonoscopy. We want to determine whether endoscopist or nurse derived GCS accurately reflects patient experience. Method: Prospectively collected data from 123 patients undergoing colonoscopies at a single centre from August to September 2019. Patients rated their comfort score using a 1=best to 5=worst ordinal scale that was compared with endoscopist and nurse assessed GCS from 1-5. Data collection was blinded for each assessor. Fleiss’ s kappa statistics was used to investigate inter-rater agreement of comfort scores. Patients were also asked to rate their overall satisfaction of the procedure. Results: Endoscopists had better comfort score agreement with nurses (κ =0. 36; minimal agreement) than with patients (κ =0. 26; no agreement). Nurse derived comfort sores had no agreement with patients (κ =0. 11). Overall inter-rater agreement was minimal with greater variability at worse levels of discomfort. There was no significant difference in Fentanyl and Midazolam dose between those patients who reported mild discomfort versus those with high discomfort. Patients undergoing their first colonoscopy anticipated higher discomfort levels compared to those who had prior colonoscopy examination (OR 2. 67 [95% CI 1. 38-5. 23]; p=0. 0036) but this did not influence final pain scores. The only factor that was significantly associated with patient pain score in multivariate analysis was gender, with male more likely to report higher scores (worse comfort) than female patients (OR 2. 67 [95% CI 1. 18-6. 05]; p=0. 018). Patient comfort scores weakly correlated with their satisfaction of the procedure (spearman coefficient=0. 29). Conclusion: Endoscopist and nurse derived GCS are not reliable measures of patient comfort. There is a need for a validated, easy-to-use method to assess patients’ pain during colonoscopy. Assessment tools that utilize objective bedside cues such as the nonverbal pain scale may be a better quality indicator.

Abstract:

Desirable combination of weather temperature, relative humidity, air movement and mean radiant temperature, present a certain zone which provides thermal comfort for the majority of people. One of the most important issues, which should be considered before building a construction, is the accurate estimation of the thermal comfort within the designed building. Thus, evaluation of thermal condition of a building in design stage will cause an opportunity to change and modify design elements and materials. In this paper, an attempt has been made to discuss about effective parameters that influence human physical comfort and then four different procedures have been presented to predicting thermal comfort zone.
